Rocknrolla


A group of London hoodlums, One Two (Gerard Butler), Mumbles (Idris Elba), and Handsome Bob (Tom Hardy), scheme to steal the $7 Million euros that a Russian billionaire is paying crime-lord Lenny Cole (Tom Wilkinson) in a real-estate scheme. At the same time, the Russian billionaire has lent his 'lucky painting' to Lenny, following which it is promptly stolen from Lenny's office. As the chaos unfolds, seemingly all of London's shadiest characters, junkies, Russian mercenaries, and supposedly dead rockers get pulled into the chase for the money, and the 'lucky painting'.

Not nearly as good as it could have been..

College


Kevin (Drake Bell) is a high school senior, that just got dumped by his girlfreind Gina (Alona Tal) because he was boring. Now he doesn't want to go to freshman orientation weekend at Fieldmont University, but his best friends Carter (Andrew Caldwell) and Morris (Kevin Covais) convince him that the trip will help him feel better. Once there, one of the wildest Fraternities on campus pretends to recruit them as in return for showing them the college party scene. Although they have to see the disgusting acts of frat brothers Teague (Nick Zano), Bearcat (Gary Owen), and Cooper (Zach Cregger), the boys meet hot coeds Kendall (Haley Bennett), Heather (Camille Mana), and Amy (Nathalie Walker), and the chemistry is great. But soon Teague feels jealous of Kevin's new love for Kendall, he puts their pre-frosh humiliation at a greater level, forcing the guys to fight back.


Classic college-Bull.. But not fun at all.

The Tale Of Despereaux


Desperaux (Matthew Broderick)is a tiny mouse stuck in a town full of oppression. They tell Desperaux what to fear and how to fear it. He finds none of the world scary, but instead sees it all as an adventure. This gets the poor mouse excommunicated from his home for not conforming. Finding good in the world Desperaux tries to help a princess (Emma Watson) who sees the world through a veil. With rat kings plotting human revenge and servant girls dreaming of becoming princesses, this movie is captivating. When faced with adversity our tiny hero by the name of Desperaux proves to us now matter what your size it all comes down to heart.

Tinker Bell


Tinker Bell is a film in a magical world of fairies where there are magical, special, and wonderful enchanting creatures that live in Pixie Hollow, who control nature and the seasons by changing the seasons. They change the colors of the leaves, move sunbeams and melt the cold chilling snow, wake animals from their rest in the winter, give water to the young, help the mothers and their new born children in the spring, and use the magical fairy dust that they carry around. This is all within the realm of these season changers. From the popular novel, play, and movie PETER PAN comes this film that stars Tinker Bell(Mae Whitman) who thinks her fairy talent is not as unique as the other fairies. Tinker Bell tries to change who she is, but all she does is create problems and trouble. When Tinker Bell needs help she has her friends Rosetta(Kristin Chenoweth), Silvermist(Lucy Liu), Fawn(America Ferrera) and Iridessa(Raven-Symoné). Tinker Bell learns the key to solving her problems lies in her special power and discovers that when she is good to herself, she can have the most powerful and loving memory. This makes Tinker Bell special.

In this tale, the whole storyland world is governed by a magician who must keep things in balance, but he leaves for a while. His two assistants are left in charge and that is how adventure breaks out as Ella's (G.K. Bowes) evil step mother stumbles on the fact that the story can be magically changed. So, she decideds to make the whole world end Happily Never After.

Gran Torino


Tao Van Lor (Bee Vang) has divorced parents who are immigrants from Asia. Tao and his grandma (Chee Thao), mom (Ahney Her) and sister Sue (Ahney Her) live next door to Walt Kowalski (Clint Eastwood). Sue tells Walt Tao has no good role models to look up to and is already about to become a gang-banger or a victim of gang violence. Walt just lost his wife and because of his Korean war veteran history he's annoyed by the growing of ethnic families in his community. Tao then tries to steal his valuable Gran Torino in order to get accepted by a gang but gets caught in the act by Walt. Slow but sure Walt teaches Tao how to behave properly. But violence ensues while the gang interferes.


Clint Eastwood is maybe the only actor in the world that could have done this movie.. Very Very Good

Bride Wars


This movies closely follows Liv (Kate Hudson) and Emma (Anne Hathaway), two incredibly close yet amazingly different friends. It is a personal and comical look into these two friends' relationships between themselves and others. They do every thing together. They jog together, the go out to eat together, and in this movie, they have weddings together. Liv, who is a power hungry control freak, and Emma, who is a sweet and docile school teacher, launch into a battle of the weddings when a famed and much sought after New York wedding planner books their weddings at the same time. The ensuing battle is funny and often problematic, and it really is a war. It makes for an interesting movie and a great look into the personal lives of both.

Night Train

A passenger onboard a train passes away on route to his destination. Two other passengers, Chloe (Leelee Sobieski) and Pete (Steve Zahn), along with Miles the conductor (Danny Glover), notice the recently deceased man and discover that he has a bag of valuable diamons on him. The three become stricken with greed, try to keep the treasure for themselves and attempt to dispose of the man's body. They come up with a plan to make it seem as if the dead man never boarded the train, and as there are no other passengers there would be no witnesses. They remember that the railway passes close to a river and so this provides the perfect opportunity. However to do so they need to fit him in to a trunk, and the only way to fit him in is to chop his body into pieces. The passengers soon become paranoid as they begin to suspect and distrust each other.

Miracle At St. Anna


Set in the recent past, an elderly mailman Hector Negron (Laz Alonso) goes postal and shoots someone waiting in line at the post office. Reporter Tim Boyle (Joseph Gordon-Levitt) tries to find out what caused Hector to go crazy and in the process the story about the miracle at St. Anna is told, an event that happened during WWII. Hector, Train (Omar Benson Miller), Stamps (Derek Luke) and Bishop (Michael Ealy) are all soldiers in the all-black 92nd Infantry Division, part of the segregated US troops during WWII. While fighting in Italy their unit gets wiped out due to the racism of their commanding officer and the four friends survive. Facing certain death at the hands of the Germans, the men retreat to an Italian village which turns out to be filled with partisans, part of the Germans target as well.

Pride And Glory


A clean, straight-laced homicide detective (Edward Norton) is asked by the chief of detectives (Jon Voight) to look into a precinct run by his dishonest brother (Noah Emmerich). As Mr. Norton delves deeper in to the precinct the more levels of complexity to start to reveal themselves. A policeman in the precinct (Colin Farrell) may be the one behind the acts of wrongdoing which sets off a chain of events for all involved. A story of what makes a family bond and what people will do to keep those bonds is at the heart of the film. Also, the battle between family loyalty and the loyalty to your job is also examined.



Interesting story about two brothers.

Blindness


An unnamed eye doctor (Mark Ruffalo) and his spouse, known only as the doctor’s wife (Julianne Moore), live in a town that is hit by blindness which is like an epidemic. The government quarantines the victims in a building, but they turn on each other, stealing possessions and food, and harming the weakest among them. One of the most dangerous is called King of Ward Three (Gael Garcia Bernal). The doctor goes blind, but his wife retains her sight. They take a group of patients out of the building and into the crumbling city, where civilization is ending. The couple wants to take the group back to their house and be their new family, but they must survive the perilous journey first.


Kinda boring!

Mirrors


Mirrors is a horror movie in which a downward-spiraling ex-cop named Ben Carson (Kiefer Sutherland) is pursued by the evil in reflective surfaces which make his life even more of a nightmare. Ben is a security guard in a burned-out department store. He comes to realize that the mirrors in this store do not reflect truly, instead showing the viewer as evil, and influencing the real world in a very frightening way. Soon Ben finds that the evil has followed him outside of the store: not only he, but also his sister Angela (Amy Smart), ex-wife Amy (Paula Patton), and his children Michael (Cameron Boyce) and Daisy (Erica Gluck) are being horribly influenced by the pervasive evil.

My Name Is Bruce


My Name is Bruce is a cross between a horror movie and a comedy. Bruce Campbell (himself) is a somewhat sleazy B movie actor living in a trailer. He is beloved by a group of cult devotees of his movies, which are low-budget horror films. In these horror films, Campbell has played a hero named Ashley J. Williams, or “Ash.” A local fanboy named Jeff (Taylor Sharpe) is so divorced from reality that he mistakes the actor Bruce for his character Ash, and kidnaps him to get him to destroy an actual monster that has been unleashed on the world. The monster is Quan-Di (Jamie Peck), the Chinese God of Bean Curd, and he is very, very angry. Bruce discovers that he needs to sober up, stop fooling around, and truly save the world from this demonic presence.


Very little comedy and no horror!! waste of time

Wanted


When Wesley Allen Gibson (James McAvoy) is an office worker stuck in a routine that he knows is slowly draining him of life. But Gibson's chance encounter with Fox (Angelina Jolie), a mysterious and beautiful stranger, and Sloan (Morgan Freeman), a man who seemingly knows everything about him, leaves his world turned upside down and shaken. Gibson discovers that the father he thought had died years before was actually a professional assassin and has only just recently died, brought down by another professional in the field. Fueled by eagerness to know the truth and to avenge his father's death, Gibson must sacrifice everything he knows and everything he holds dear - only to find that not all is what it seems.


The bullet-curving was a little much, but a good movie

Kim (Maggie Grace) is the daughter of Bryan (Liam Neeson) and Lenore (Famke Janssen), who are divorced. While on a trip to France, Kim and her best friend, Amanda (Katie Cassidy) are taken away by men who would attempt to force them to go into prostitution. Bryan, who used to work in the government, took the first flight to Paris, knowing that he had very few days to rescue his daughter. Bryan travels throughout Paris, seemingly making a mess of the city according to Jean Claude (Olivier Rabourdin), a former detective. Bryan discovers that Jean Claude was a part of the trafficking scheme but that he was doing it to provide for his family. Bryan finds Amanda first at the house described being "Paradise", laying dead on a bed due to overdose of drugs. In the end, he rescues Kim only after having to shoot a man in the head who was threatening to kill her. He then returns back to the U. S. with Kim safely.


Good!! didn't think Liam Neeson could pull this one off, but he actually did. I'm Surprised!

Far Cry


A group of mercenaries has been attacked by an unknown creature in a remote island in the Pacific Northwest. A veteran newspaper editor in Seattle decided to send his two top reporters named Tom Moore and Valerie Cardinal (Emmanuelle Vaugier) to the crime scene. The two reporters are led by their captain named Jack Carver (Til Schweiger). Upon their arrival at the island, they are immediately being attacked by the main mercenary commander named Maria Sanchez. Unfortunately, Tom is killed while they are all trying to escape but both Jack and Valerie managed to stay alive. Tempers soon begin to flare between the two of them as Jack has decided to leave the island as soon as possible while he tries locating his friend, Emilio. Whereas, Valerie has put both her feet on the ground to stay on the island in order to investigate further about the mysterious murders. The trio later are captured and brought to the secret lab of Dr. Krieger (Udo Kier) who works as a scientist. Valerie is invited by Dr. Krieger himself to report about his latest findings to the world. However, things took an unexpected twist when one of his creatures escapes from his lab and is hunger for blood more than ever.


well the game is so much more scary and entertaining.

Angus, Thongs And Perfect Snogging


As if being a teenager wasn’t hard enough, fourteen year old Georgia Nicholson (Georgia Groome) is plagued by nosy parents who don’t understand her an obnoxious little sister and awful school uniforms. With hopes like every other teenage girl she wished she looked different and that she had a cute boyfriend. Georgia has a cat named Angus who is tormented by her little sister with daily visits to the freezer. Having never experienced her first snogg (kiss) Georgia finds herself nervous when close to the new boy at school. With the movie surrounding the young girls journal entries, be ready for a roller coaster ride of ‘he said, she said’, plenty of cattiness and of course cute boys!

Lakeview Terrace


A young interracial couple move into their new home in Los Angeles and find that it isn't the dream they thought it would be. Chris (Patrick Wilson) and Lisa Mattson (Kerry Washington) find that their new neighbor, Abel Turner (Samuel L Jackson), is a police officer and self appointed protector of the neighborhood. In the beginning Abel seems friendly enough but it soon becomes apparent that he doesn't seem to approve of the new couple, perhaps because of their actions in the new neighborhood or perhaps out of disapproval of their relationship. The Mattsons determine not to take Abel's increasing harrassment lying down, and things get a little out of control.

With Out A Paddle


Three friends, Tom, Jerry and Dan (Dax Shepard, Matthew Lillard, and Seth Green) have planned since they were children to seek a fortune lost by a famed hijacker, DB Cooper. They had gotten the idea from their childhood friend Billy who has since died. They set out on a canoing trip with a map that points out where the fortune should be located. As they head down the river, they encounter a bear, two armed drug dealers that had a marijuana crop that they stumble upon, and two bizarre rain forest girls. The bear and drug dealers proceed to hunt them down for the rest of the movie in a thrilling yet hysterical chase.



Not as fun as one would think.

Australia


Lady Sarah Ashley (Nicole Kidman), an upscale English socialite trapped in an unhappy marriage, travels to Australia to spy on her husband Maitland Ashley (Anton Monsted) who she suspects is having an affair. What she finds in the desert region of Australia's Northern Territory is that her husband has been killed and that she is now the single owner of Faraway Downs, a cattle ranch. There is an evil cattle baron King Carney (Bryan Brown) who is trying to steal Lady Ashley's ranch and so the Lady has to team up with a prickly cattle driver (Hugh Jackman) in order to deliver 1500 head of cattle to Darwin and thus save the ranch. Along the way a relationship develops between the two and Lady Ashley meets and then befriends as half native Australian, half white orphan named Nullah (Brandon Walters) who is trying to avoid capture by Australian authorities that want to put him into governmental care to help train him how to be less Native and more white. Nothing is simple for the characters in this film, as they approach Darwin the Japanese attack it, causing all the characters to realize what is most important to them in life.

Bed Times Stories


Skeeter Bronson (Adam Sandler) does repairs on hotels and feels a bit unlucky. One day, his sister Wendy (Courteney Cox) wants him to babysit for her because she’s looking for work. She has her pal Jill (Keri Russell) watching the kids during the day. During each night, Skeeter tells the kids, Bobbi (Laura Ann Kiesling) and Patrick (Jonathan Morgan Heit), a sad story about his frustrating and unfulfilling life, but they add things to it to make it a happier story. After that, the story elements begin to happen for real during the day. Skeeter realizes he just might be able to turn his life around if the kids keep coming up with positive ideas.

In this thriller movie with elements of drama the main character is a woman named Claire Summers (Anne Hathaway). She is a grief counselor who is assigned to counsel five people who survived an airplane crash. While talking about the accident, the surviving passengers mention an explosion that the airline company pretends never happened. Later on, Claire falls in love with one of the passengers. His name is Eric (Patrick Wilson). He is the most secretive of all the survivors. Just after falling in love with Eric, Claire's passengers begin to disappear one by one. She becomes suspicious of Eric and decides to investigate the situation herself.


good and entertaining thriller

Balls Out


Gary (Sean William Scott) is a tennis player who lives in Nebraska in a motor home located on cheap land. He now works as a custodian because his athletic days are in the past, even though he played as a semi-pro. But he becomes interested again when he sees teenagers playing tennis. Their coach, Lew Tuttle (Randy Quaid), asks for Gary’s help when he sees how much Gary wants to be on the court. When the coach dies, Gary cannot officially take over for him, but he intends to honor Lew's memory by helping the team to become champions in the state games.



without Sean William Scott this movie would have been CRAP!

Twilight


Drama and romance are at the heart of this teen vampire film. Insular 17-year-old Bella Swan (Kristen Stewart) does not expect much when she moves in with her dad Charlie (Billy Burke), a police officer in Forks, Washington. She is soon surprised when she finds that her classmate, moody, handsome and tellingly pale Edward Cullen (Robert Pattinson) is seemingly disgusted by her. Her surprise soon turns into confusion and shock as this acquaintance saves her life one day in the school parking lot. She discovers that Edward and his family are vampires, and that his apparent disgust is in reality masking his true feelings: love.


everybody seem to like this movie. I guess it was ok.

Valkyrie


During the second World War, many German officers are unhappy with the increasing instability of the Fuhrer. Among these men are Colonel Claus von Stauffenberg (Tom Cruise) and Major General Henning von Tresckow (Kenneth Branagh). After an attempt to assassinate Adolf Hitler (David Bamber) fails, the soldiers discover that there is no plan for the anarchy that would follow a political or natural disaster. This group of resistance fighters then discover Operation Valkyrie, a plan to deploy the Reserve Army. Once the plan is solidly in place, Hitler is apparently killed by a bomb set by Van Stauffenberg. However, before the Project Valkyrie can take effect, Hitler manages to contact General Olbricht (Bill Nighy), head of the reserve army. The plot soon unravels, and the conspirators are captured and executed.


Would have been better without Tom Cruise

Red Sands


A group of seven soldiers were sent to Afghanistan in the Middle East. Their sergeant is dead and so are the rest of the group members except for one man, Jeff (Shane West). One of their group members shot a sand like statue with the intention to have fun. They soon realized that they had made a mistake by allowing him to shoot the statue. Stranded in a place where they are unfamiliair with, they are being haunted by strange happenings.

Religulous


Bill Maher (himself) takes on religion, traveling all over the world to skewer those involved with Scientology, Islam, Mormonism, Christianity and more. He visits the Bible Belt, Wailing Wall, Salt Lake City, Via Dolorosa, Stonehenge, the Vatican, mosques, the Holy Land Experience Park in Florida and other places. He even visits a gay bar for Muslims. He conducts many interviews with both followers and leaders from these religions. He is part Jewish and part Catholic, but totally agnostic and is filled with incredulity about those who follow any religions. Bill Maher wants people to explain him what and why they believe certain things.


this could've been a good movie, if Mr. Mahler hadn't made fun of everybody he met.
