Jake Tanner (Paul Wesley) is a young Hollywood director whose reality show he was working on is cancelled. But he is back on his luck again when his agent wants him to head off to a Northern town to shoot a new reality series about a North Dakota high school hockey team. Together with both his crew and cast members soon find themselves at the center of a grisly and mysterious murder as the number of people that start disappearing is rising fast. Not only does Jake have to deal with the demanding and spoiled celebutante of his production assistant Blanca Champion (Kaley Cuoco) who hopes to eventually ends up in a film role that could give her a breakthrough, but also finds himself stranded in a remote town in White Plains with a killer on the loose.
