Choke

Victor Mancini (Sam Rockwell) goes to Sex addicts anonymous meetings where they clearly don’t help. He instead winds up hooking up with other members of the group. While he’s not there he can be found working at the towns colonial reenactment village. With his mother in the hospital suffering from Alzheimer’s his day job isn’t enough, so Victor goes to high end restaurants and chokes on their food. Allowing patrons to feel needed as his rescuers, they send him money every now and then. Victor’s best friend Denny (Brad William Henke) is trying to better himself and tries to get Victor to do the same. Worried about his mother Victor employs the help of a young doctor to try and cure his mom and get information about his father. He and the doctor become entangled in a messy relationship that has Victor questioning the type of person he really is.
